Ventnor Remembered

Many of  you will remember Daphne Carter, who spent more than twenty years photographing Ventnor and its people, and donated 47 albums of her photographs to the Library. Daphne was an active member of Friends of Ventnor Library and also the Ventnor and District Local History Society, who displayed her photographs in exhibitions in the Heritage Museum.  Friends of Ventnor Library have now been awarded a grant to catalogue and scan Daphne’s photographs to preserve them and make them more widely available.
