“Whatever the cost of our libraries, the price is cheap compared to that of an ignorant nation” – Walter Cronkite
We welcome new members and any involvement or help they can give.
What is ‘Friends of Ventnor Library’?
Friends of Ventnor Library was established in 2011 to support our Library. See More about FVL for more information about how we work, our Committee and Constitution.
What does being a member mean?
You might want to become actively involved in events, but you don’t have to – you might want to join us just to show your support for the Library. Members receive a monthly email newsletter which is also displayed on the FVL noticeboard in the Library, and members are welcome to attend our open Committee meetings which are held at the Library (see the homepage for the date of the next meeting).
What does it cost to join?
Membership only costs £3 for adults, and children under 16 are free.
Membership runs from January to December each year, so needs to be by January 1st each year. (If you are already a member and need to renew your subscription you can do this at the Library.)
How do you join?
To join us, please fill in the membership form and hand it in at the Library with your £3. You can pick up a membership form in the Library or you can download and print it off from this page (see below).
