Equipment to help with Hearing Difficulties

With the concurrence of Awards for All, we used some residual Ventnor in Touch funds to purchase equipment from Action on Hearing Loss which can help people with hearing difficulties to make more effective use of their tablet computer.

The equipment is available at the Library for demonstrations with your own or the Library tablets.

The items available are:

Geemarc CL Hook: Plugs into a tablet or computer and provides an amplified signal into a hearing aid operating in ‘T’ mode.

Geemarc iLoop+: Plugs into a tablet, computer or phone and provides an amplified signal into a hearing aid operating in ‘T’ mode. Includes a microphone to permit hands-free phone conversations.

AFTERSHOKZ Bluez 25 Wireless Bone Conduction Headphones: Connects to a tablet or phone using the Bluetooth wireless protocol and uses bone conduction transducers to provide the audio signal, permitting normal aural hearing while you walk around.

Full instructions for use are provided with each item.
